It is almost SPRING and we are so freakin’ excited! We have so many upcoming vendor shows and markets planned for this year! We can’t wait to get out there and see you all in person. Michelle and Mindy are taking the plunge and going full-time candle-makers beginning in June! We honestly couldn’t do that without the support of our wonderful clients that continue to show up. It makes us so happy knowing you’re loving the products we’re putting out there. Trust us - from a small business owner, putting new products out there is scary so when they’re received with excitement and returning purchases it is SO thrilling. <3
For those of you who maybe don’t know our background, it’s in massage therapy, yoga, and natural healing. We have owned and operated Juniper Spa for 12 years and have been practitioners of massage for 17 years. When the pandemic hit is 2020 we were mandated to close our business for nearly 3 months. This deeply affected not only our office but so many other small businesses around the country. Though things were rough - we felt like the lucky ones. We had made candles as a hobby years prior and with as much time as we were forced take off because of Covid, we dove right into brainstorming mode. We started putting together at-home spa subscription boxes to help get us through and delivered them to our clients’ doorsteps. These spa boxes included our newly developed candle line and the rest is history! We formally created Copper & Wax Co. in February 2020 and have been running and working full-time for both businesses for the past 3 years!
Though both of our businesses are quite different, we’ve leaned on our aroma-therapy knowledge we utilized in the treatment room as we developed our fragrance lines. Keeping health and wellbeing always in the forefront of our mind we have chosen clean burning and phthalate-free products. Hippies at heart, we knew we wanted to incorporate locally sourced beeswax into our creations. Staying close to nature, celebrating light and bringing a sense of calm into your everyday is all part of our mission. Of course brining awareness to the awesome honeybee is a major plus! Stop by and let’s talk bees!
